It isn't complicated. Just an opportunity to enjoy life. It's a cultural concept that goes beyond just a word; it's a way of life and also a mindset. It encourages people to prioritize the simple joys of life, connect with loved ones, and create a nurturing and comfortable environment.

A Little About me...
I grew up in the charming town of Horten, nestled by the Oslo fjord in Norway, where hygge was a natural part of our daily lives. In Norway, the practice of hygge is woven into the rhythm of life—taking time to slow down, to breathe, and to reconnect with ourselves and those we love.
It's something I was surrounded by growing up, and it shaped me in the simplest yet most meaningful ways.
My family made hygge a part of every day. Freshly arranged flowers on the table, soft candlelight flickering in the evenings, and peaceful boat or cabin trips where there was no electricity, only the glow of natural light, good books, and conversation.
These small moments, paired with the comforting scents of my mum’s cooking, filled our home with warmth and togetherness.
Baking was, and still is, a big part of that connection. I started baking at an early age, learning from my mum and family in Norway, and it’s something I’ve carried with me throughout life. It brings me joy and has taught me the value of appreciating life’s little moments—especially the ones that taste homemade and full of love.
After moving to the United States, I noticed that the essence of hygge can sometimes feel lost in the hustle of daily life. We’re often so busy doing things for others that we forget to nurture ourselves. Like trying to pour from an empty cup, we run dry. But hygge helps fill that cup, even if just a little, by inviting us to pause and savor the moment.
I wanted to bring that sense of calm and connection to my family, friends, and community, so we can all find the time to slow down and embrace the cozy, soul-warming beauty of hygge.
